Hub360 meeting the Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment and at the Department of Social Protection

Hub360 had the pleasure of meeting Minister Neale Richmond, Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment and at the Department of Social Protection, and Martin Heydon, the Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.

John O’Neill describe for the ministers how the Hub Tipper App effectively manages construction materials delivered to construction site and the destination of waste moved off site, to enable all stakeholders work together, with the verifiable data needed, to support our circular economy ambitions.

During our meeting with the Ministers John also explained how effective the Hub Tipper App at creating, verifiable, accountability in construction waste management by providing subcontractors with a digital tool to track the destination of materials removed from construction sites.

Denise O’Kelly highlighted the importance the latest EU waste management directive has placed on the need to create transparency and efficiency in waste management practices to support environmental sustainability and compliance with regulations.

Denise O’Kelly discussed the potential benefits of implementing the Hub Tipper App across construction projects to ensure proper waste management and enhance overall project sustainability, as well as the need to digitise the construction sector. Denise noted that compared to the UK( which was 90% digital) in Ireland, pen and paper is the default, which in 2024 was hard to fathom.

John O’Neill went on to explain how the Hub Tipper App had enabled better resource management, more efficiently run businesses and cost savings when deployed.

He outlined the experience of the users of the Hub Tipper App, and how they said it was an absolute game changer for them, as it had been so effective in improving the day to day running of their businesses.
